LateRooms.com can announce that anyone staying at hotels in the Cotswolds over the yuletide period may want to get in the mood for all the festivities of Christmas day by attending Midnight Mass.

One of Oxford's most beautiful chapels is offering members of the public a free service on Christmas Eve where visitors will be able to listen to carols performed by the chapel's choir.

Part of Oxford University, New College Chapel only opens its doors for one festive performance following the end of term.

The service, which begins at 11.30pm on December 24th, is sure to offer everyone some choral delights and spread a bit of Christmas cheer before the big day.

During the university term, there is a full choral service every evening except Wednesdays, which attracts people from all over the area.

The choir is made up children and young adults who all receive a high standard of musical training and are encouraged to fully develop their potential.

Anyone who wants to take away a memento of the service may want to purchase one of the many albums of choral music recorded by the choir.

Choristers who regularly sing at New College Chapel will be embarking on a tour of Europe before returning to their base for the special Midnight Mass concert.

Luxembourg, Riga and Pamplona are among the cities due to host the religious singers in December.
