Texas-sized Entrepreneurial Spirit

Austin, TX – Entrepreneurs in the Lone Star State are showing Texas-sized enthusiasm for a new website designed to help them fund funding for their businesses. Funding-Texas.com has become one of the fastest growing destinations in the FundingUniverse.com family of websites, registering more than 100 users in only two months.

Funding-Texas.com is an online meeting place where Texas entrepreneurs looking for start-up capital may submit their business plans to independent Texas investors. Entrepreneurs register on the site and upload their business plans at no cost. Accredited angel investors who sign up for a free Funding-Texas.com membership review the posted plans and contact the entrepreneurs they wish to invest in. To date, the site offers $1 million in investment capital, and every week more investors are signing up to use the site.

“Funding-Texas.com’s success is obviously no surprise,” said Trent Miskin, Funding-Texas.com’s CTO. “Cities like Austin, Dallas and Houston are all know for innovation. Funding-Texas.com will most definitely become one of our largest and most productive sites.”

Funding-Texas.com is part of a family of 51 FundingUniverse.com state sites designed to help entrepreneurs and investors link up. The Texas site is the fourth to reach 100 registered entrepreneurs. Southern California, Utah, and Florida are the other three. However, only Florida reached the century mark as fast as Texas.

FundingUniverse.com was founded by Internet entrepreneur Paul Allen (no relation to Microsoft’s Paul Allen) and former Novell General Counsel David Bradford in April of 2005. Their creation has helped entrepreneurs meet dozens of angel investors in Texas and throughout the nation this year.
