LateRooms.com can announce that although they are designed to entertain youngsters, cartoons still delight adults the world over, whether they are fans of the classic characters designed by Walt Disney, who died in 1966, or some of the newer creations that grace books and films.

If this is the case, then they may want to book hotels in Milan and treat themselves to a holiday that could give them the opportunity to meet some of the most popular characters.

The city's annual cartoon festival takes place on February 6th and 7th and may provide some light relief at a time when the region is full of serious designers strutting their stuff ready for the city's fashion week.

It is held at the Parco Esposizioni Novegro and is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00 local time, which gives visitors plenty of time to browse the various stalls and take in all the colourful sights.

As well as cartoon fans, some of the biggest Italian publishing houses attend the event to exhibit a large variety of printed material, video games and short films for people to enjoy.

Tickets for the event cost €7 (£6.24) while a two-day pass is priced at €10. Children under the age of 12 get in for €5.

If you're heading to the Milan Cartoon Festival this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotel Milano as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
