LateRooms.com can announce that the Guggenheim Museum may be a popular location for many people staying at Bilbao hotels and there is an intriguing show taking place later this year that has proven to be a big success in other countries.

An Anish Kapoor exhibition will open on March 16th 2010 and display works from what the gallery's official website describes as "one of the most influential sculptors on the contemporary international scene".

Previously shown at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, the retrospective proved to be highly successful and it is likely to be just as popular in Bilbao.

The artist, who was born in Bombay, India, in 1954, has worked closely with the organisers of the event, which may help to ensure that it has a personal feel to it.

Kapoor first shot to fame at the beginning of the 1980s "thanks to his explorations of the abstract sculptural form, his monumental installations and his public outdoor art projects", the Guggenheim website continues.

Visitors have until October 12th 2010 to catch the display and entry costs £10.

The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao was designed by architect Frank Gehry and it is currently showing an exhibition of works by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Commenting on the Anish Kapoor exhibition, Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, said: "We strongly urge people thinking of going to the Anish Kapoor exhibition who need hoteles Bilbao to book early to avoid disappointment"
