AsiaRooms.com can announce that a host of top tennis players, including British number one Andy Murray, will soon be heading to the United Arab Emirates for the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships.

Murray defeated world number one Roger Federer in straight sets on his debut at the tournament in 2008 and will be aiming to clinch the title when he returns to Dubai next month.

The ATP men's tournament runs from February 22nd to 27th at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre, which has hosted the event since its inaugural year in 1993.

Seven of the world's top ten players are expected to make the trip to Dubai for the event, with Federer due to line up alongside the like of Murray, Novak Djokovic, Juan Martin Del Potro and Nikolay Davydenko.

"This year we have our best-ever lineup competing at the championships, with the competition tougher than ever," said Colm McLoughlin, managing director of tournament organisers Dubai Duty Free.

People using hotels in Dubai can purchase tickets for day one of this year's tournament for 30 dirhams (£4.99).

Serbian star Djokovic will be the defending champion at the outdoor hard-court event, having beaten David Ferrer of Spain 7-5, 6-3 in last year's final.

Federer is a four-time champion at the Dubai tournament, while Rafael Nadal triumphed in 2006 and Andy Roddick took the title two years later.
