Provo, Utah – “I know my idea will work! If I only had the money, I could make it happen …”

Thoughts like this have driven thousands of entrepreneurs to FundingUniverse.com, an innovative new website designed to match entrepreneurs with accredited angel investors. The site registered its 2,000th entrepreneur this week, marking a period of exceptional growth for the Utah internet company.

FundingUniverse.com is an online meeting place where entrepreneurs looking for start-up capital may submit their business plans to investors in their home states. Entrepreneurs register on the site and upload their business plans. Angel investors then visit FundingUniverse.com and find businesses to invest in. At no point are the investors or entrepreneurs charged for any services provided by FundingUniverse.com.

FundingUniverse.com has registered over 1,300 entrepreneurs at its site in less than three months. The site’s co-founder, Paul Allen, says he expects growth to exceed its current rate.

“It’s very fulfilling for us to play a part in helping people bring their ideas to life and create jobs for other Americans,” Allen said. “We anticipate that the site will continue to grow and eventually we will live in a world where you don’t need a connection to fund a brilliant business idea.”

FundingUniverse.com was founded by Allen (no relation to Microsoft’s Paul Allen) and former Novell General Counsel David Bradford in April of 2005. Their creation has helped entrepreneurs meet dozens of angel investors throughout the nation this year.
