LateRooms.com - Laugh out loud at the Bath Comedy Festival

LateRooms.com reports people who are getting fed up of the winter weather and need something to look forward to should consider booking Cotswolds hotels in April.

This is because Bath will be holding its Comedy Festival, starting on April Fool's Day and running until the 11th of the month.

Anyone who takes a trip into the historic city will not fail to notice the street performers, mime artists and comedians dotted around Bath's centre.

Many of the shows are free to attend, so that should put a smile on visitors' faces before they even hear any of the jokes.

According to its official website, the festival is "an annual celebration of the art of making people laugh", with 2010 only the second year that the city has hosted the event.

Some of the scheduled performances include I Shot Dirty Den and Jane Austen's Bath Time, which is an outdoor show that roams the streets of Bath, with its audience in tow.

Other hilarious happenings that could be of interest to people holidaying in the region include the Bizarre Bath Comedy Walk and a number of open mic nights for aspiring comedians.

Tickets for the paid-for events range from £1 to £17.50, with visitors advised to check the website or contact the venues to book for any of the shows that they think could tickle their funny bone.
