LateRooms.com can announce that cameras at the ready, because about 300 exhibitors are set to put on a huge photography event in Rome called Photoshow.

One of the most enjoyable parts of travelling for some people is taking pictures of the beautiful and unusual things that they see, but perhaps guests at Rome hotels should consider taking an afternoon off from marvelling at magnificent buildings to learn a little more about their camera.

The Photoshow, taking place at the Fieri Di Roma from March 27th to 29th, is usually held in Milan and covers everything from new professional equipment to innovations in photography with the help of exhibitors such as Kodak, Mitsubishi, Sony and Canon.

This is not a time to be shy if you are not a professional snapper, since the show is open to everybody, with only one section entitled Inescapable devoted to the more experienced photographer, according to the Rome Luxury blog.

It asked: "Millions of tourists have been in Rome and taken pictures of to this beautiful city so which better place could host a photo show?"

Anyone keen on checking out this hi-tech event should pre-register on the exhibition's website, since it will cost them €1 (87p) entry rather than the €8 that they will be charged on the door.

Photoshow is open 10:00 to 19:00 (local time) on Saturday and Sunday, with the event closing at 16:00 on the Monday.

If you're heading to the Photoshow this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotel Roma as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
