LateRooms.com reports the Semi Marathon Bailly Noisy may be appealing for sporty types who want to stretch their legs while holidaying at hotels in Paris.

With the Paris Marathon coming up on April 11th, the Bailly Noisy run gives locals a chance to take part in a race before going through with a full marathon, but the event is also open to foreigners.

Starting at 08.45 (local time) on Sunday March 28th, the 21.1 km route takes participants through 5 km of an urban area, while the rest of the race takes place in Marly le Roi forest.

In order to take part in the half marathon, people need to be able to produce a photocopy of a valid medical certificate or a sport licence, as well as pay the entry fee.

If travellers are feeling up to it, then they can pay €13 (£11.46) on the day or €11 in advance on the website to enter, although there is a maximum of 650 places available.

For those who like the sound of a run but do not feel like they can endure a half marathon there is 5 km run, which costs €5 on the day or €3 in advance and a 1.5 km race has been organised for youngsters costing just €3.
