LateRooms.com can announce that people who have booked hotels in Munich and are fans of art may want to head over to the Museum Villa Stuck for an unusual textile exhibition.

From March 11th until May 30th, the gallery will be showcasing textile pieces from the Art Nouveau period.

Works by a number of notable artists in the genre will be on display, including Peter Behrens, Hans Christiansen and Joseph Maria Olbrich.

Entitled "Art and Industry - textiles during the Art Nouveau period", it will focus on those designs which were produced commercially in the forms of table cloths, napkins and furniture sets among other things.

Objects created in the decades either side of the turn of the 20th century will be given pride of place at the gallery to demonstrate the use of these artistic pieces in everyday life.

Anyone who wants to view the interesting collection can do so from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 and 18:00 (local time).

Entry to the museum costs €6 (£5.29) with both concessionary rates and family tickets also available.
