LateRooms.com can announce that people who have booked accommodation in the Cotswolds to spend time outdoors and enjoy the picturesque scenery may want to spend some time at the Westonbirt Arboretum.

For two days in April, anyone who visits will not only have the opportunity to wander around the forests but will also be able to take advantage of having access to the gardens and house.

On April 12th and 13th, visitors will be allowed to take in the entire Westonbirt estate for the same price as admission to the arboretum, which costs £8.

As well as giving people the chance to look around, there will also be a host of activities and events about the former owner of the estate Robert Holford and demonstrations about the maintenance of the arboretum.

Other options include guided walks around the grounds and tours of the house.

Anyone who is in need of refreshment after a wander in the gardens may be tempted by the cream teas on sale all day.

Westonbirt House is currently used as a private boarding school, which means that access to the grounds and buildings is usually restricted.

Anyone who is keen to see the house may want to check the school's website for forthcoming events and open days.

The school regularly runs musical shows, public lectures and theatre performances which are open to everyone.
