AsiaRooms.com can announce that anyone who has booked accommodation in Shanghai later this year in order to attend the World Expo being held in the city may be interested to hear about a new eating establishment due to open in May.

Yu Shanghai is being hailed as "an ensemble of exquisite local delicacies, enthralling theatrical performance, captivating multimedia presentation and daring decor that entice all senses".

Due to open its doors to the public on May 1st, the restaurant is located in Shanghai's old town, in a building which features Ming-style architecture dating back 600 years.

It is spread over two floors and also boasts a rooftop garden, which will be used exclusively for private bookings.

Each night, the themed restaurant will put on a production telling a love story set in the 1930s in the Yu Garden.

Patrons will then be guided through a series of eras in the city as this tale of love transcends time.

The restaurant is located in the Yu Garden, just off Jiu Jiao Chang Road. Anyone who wants to make a booking is advised to contact the establishment through its website.

Connections Restaurant Management, the company behind the new eatery, aims to make this the first of five establishments which reflects the culture of the Chinese city in which it is located.
