LateRooms.com reports if people prefer to shop away from the mainstream and like to wear slightly more creative garments than you might see in a high street store, then Alternative Fashion Week in London may be a must-see event.

The occasion takes place from April 19th to 25th at Spitalfields Traders Market and will see more than 70 designers from the UK and across the world showcase their most innovative items.

Guests at hotels in London need not worry about travel times since it is easily accessible from a clutch of underground stations nearby, as well as being a short walk away from the Liverpool Street over-ground hub.

To add a little extra glamour to the fashion shows - which are on every day at 13:15 GMT - there will be contemporary jazz played in the background and when people are suitably inspired to shop they can check out the market.

Open from 11:00 to 17:00, it will offer people the chance to find all sorts of exotic clothes, as well as textiles and accessories to help people mould their look.

With both male and female fashions on display, the festival is sure to be a hit, especially since ethical sourcing and environmental awareness are major issues at the event.

Neither exhibitors nor attendees are charged, so there is no reason not to check out the show.
