AsiaRooms.com can reveal that sports fans might not expect to find an ice hockey tournament among the fixtures on the Hong Kong calendar but Asia's largest ice hockey competition will be getting underway in the city at the end of next month.

The weekend of April 27th to May 1st will see the youth teams take to the ice, with a host of young players hoping to impress by scoring the winning goal and keeping the puck out of their own net.

On the following weekend – May 4th to 9th, it is the turn of the adult teams, with plenty of fast-paced action and all the usual thrills and spills of ice hockey matches on show.

Games will be taking place throughout the day and into the evening, with the doors to the Mega Ice, Mega Box on Kowloon Bay opening at 9:00 (local time) each day and play continuing until 23:00.

Entry is free so anyone who needs a reason to get out of their accommodation in Hong Kong for a few hours should definitely take in a couple of games.

Visitors to the city can decide to watch the entire tournament or simply dip in and out, watching the odd game here and there over the course of the two weekends.
