Acqualina Resort & Spa in Miami Beach Announces Wine Tasting Dinner Events with Chef Marc Debas

(April 07, 2010) – Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach, Miami Beach's ultra-luxury retreat, is pleased to announce the launch of Wine Dinners with Chef Marc Debas – a luxury dining experience coupled with a selection of fine regional wines taking place on Saturday evenings beginning March 6th.
Expanding on its wildly successful weekly Wine Tasting Series in Miami Beach, Acqualina will offer guests an opportunity to experience wines from around the world and tastes from Acqualina's Executive Chef Marc Debas featuring a cooking demo and full three-course dining experience. The weekly wine tasting events will continue to be held every Saturday night at Acqualina's Aaria Bar & Lounge.
The monthly regions and themes featured at Wine Dinners with Chef Marc Debas as well as Wine Tasting Series in 2010 include:

The Miami Beach wine dinners with Chef Marc Debas will take place on the first Saturday of each month beginning March 6th while the wine tasting events will continue weekly on Saturday evenings throughout the month at Aaria Bar & Lounge. Evenings will begin at 6PM with an assortment of fine wines from different regions around the world, complimentary regional canapés during chef demonstrations and continue with a dinner seating at 8PM. The weekly wine tasting event costs $35 per person while the wine dining events with Chef Marc Debas range from $85 and up (includes Wine Tasting). Complimentary valet parking is included. Executive Chef Marc Debas joined Acqualina in June 2008 after spending nearly 10 years perfecting his culinary artistry in the prestigious world cuisine capital of France where he worked at the legendary Hotel de Crillon as well as Monaco, the Bahamas and most recently the Lago Mar resort in Ft. Lauderdale.

Duo of California Mussels
Steamed a la Mariniere & Steamed then Chilled with Chive Crème Sauce
Halibut in Papillotte
Parchment wrapped Northern California Filet of Halibut over Julienne Spring Vegetables, gently steamed Purple Potato with Citrus Zest, drizzled with Cilantro Herb Dressing
Sonoma Valley Berry Compote Crumble
Slowly cooked compote of Organic Strawberries Topped with a warm All Spice Crumble, accompanied by Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Fresh Crème
