AsiaRooms.com reports people who are staying in hotels in Phuket but are missing Britain may want to pay a visit to the Greenman Inn.

Described as an English country pub in paradise, the bar offers travellers a taste of home without needing to leave Thailand.

On May 1st, the establishment will host its annual Mayday fete, which features a range of typically British activities and attractions.

There will be a host of musical performances throughout the day, as well as the chance to try your hand at maypole dancing or simply relax with a drink and try some of the food from the barbeque.

Any bargain hunters could find some deals at the car boot sale and there will also be plenty of games to keep children occupied.

This is the ninth year that the Greenman has held its Mayday festival, which will run from 09:00 until 18:00 (local time).

It is easy for anyone staying in hotels in Thailand to find because it is located on the main road between Kata and Chalong, with its English Tudor exterior making it easy to spot.

People who want a taste of home will be able to find something on the menu to suit, with everything from fish and chips to Cornish pasties and even a Sunday roast available.
