AsiaRooms.com divulges anyone who is considering booking Ubud hotels may want to do so in June in order to take in the Songs of Ubud exhibition.

Promising a wide range of art from a host of local artists, it is an excellent opportunity for any visitors to see some of Bali's traditional artists at their best.

The carefully selected works will number 60 to 70 and will all have been created by approximately 30 of Bali's living masters.

Among the artists whose work will be displayed are Made Budi, Wayan Matra and Nyoman Lesug.

Due to run for one month from June 19th, there will be plenty of time for anyone staying on Bali to enjoy the paintings.

Asian art consultancy One East Asia is one of the organisers of the event.

Veronica Howe, chief consultant at the firm, commented: "Looking at art, be it traditional, modern or contemporary, is like visiting uncharted territory."

The exhibition will be set up at the Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) in Ubud, which has been open for almost 15 years.

As well as browsing the works which are part of the Songs of Ubud installation, visitors will also be able to take in the permanent collection of pieces from Balinese, Indonesian and international artists.

The venue is more than just a gallery though. ARMA regularly plays host to cultural performances and workshops to encourage travellers on the island to learn more about its heritage and native people.
