LateRooms.com reports the Torino MotorFest 2010 is poised to begin and may be just the thing for motor-mad travellers to enjoy during a trip to Turin.

It is set to kick off at the Oval Lingotto on May 22nd and the two-day event will offer a whole host of activities for tourists staying in Turin hotels to do and see.

For more adventurous types, there is a test drive zone in which people will have the chance to have a go on different types of bikes and cars.

The organisers state that the occasion is getting more popular each year and it is now reaching its third edition, with ExpoPromotor claiming that it is the biggest motorsport event in the north-west of Italy.

"Free-style contests, motocross displays, a test drive zone and absolutely everything for the serious motorist fill the event with adrenaline, attracting thousands to the Oval Lingotto," reports listings site What's on When.

People can also expect to be treated to some daredevil stunts by professional performers on BMXs.

Opening hours for the event are 10:00 until midnight (local time) on the Saturday and 10:00 to 21:00 on the Sunday, with tickets costing €15 (£13) and children entering for free.

If you're heading to the Torino MotorFest this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotel Torino as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
