LateRooms.com can announce that next month's Prague Food Festival promises to bring a host of gastronomic pleasures to the Czech capital.

The event is due to run from May 28th to May 30th and places the spotlight on local cuisine, as well as celebrating the best food and drink from around the world.

A unique venue is chosen for the festival each time, with this year's programme taking place in the southern gardens of Prague Castle.

People staying in Prague hotels will find a busy schedule of culinary demonstrations, workshops, tasting sessions and presentations taking place over the three days.

With the historic centre of the city providing a spectacular backdrop, visitors can attend cooking shows hosted by star chef Roman Paulus, receive beer-pouring lessons at the Stella Artois public bar and taste delicacies from the city's finest restaurants.

There will also be live music from the main podium of the festival site every evening at 20:00 local time.

Admission to the festival is priced at 400 koruna (£14), although visitors will receive the equivalent of 250 koruna back in the form of food and drink vouchers to redeem during the event.

The ticket price also includes entry to the Prague Castle in Postage Stamp Art exhibition taking place at the Old Royal Palace.
