LateRooms.com highlights prepare to be amazed because The Deep is set to be unveiled at the Natural History Museum in London, with all manner of sea creatures and informative displays on show that will please young and old alike.

Running from May 28th to September 5th, the exhibit will allow people in hotels in London to discover the strange animals that live at the bottom of the sea, such as shimmering jellyfish and giant spider crabs.

There are specimens on display that were recovered during the famous HMS Challenger expedition right up to the modern day and an interactive sea map that could help answer questions about conservation.

A sperm what skeleton that has never been put on public show before is the centrepiece of the exhibition, although there are several entertaining asides, including a section on myths and monsters.

"Enter a weird and wonderful world, 11,000 metres down in the ocean, less explored than the moon's surface. See bizarre creatures, astonishing images and real specimens, some on display for the first time," explained the venue.

Opening times for The Deep are from 10:00 to 17:30 BST every day with tickets costing £8 each.

The name of the exhibition may be familiar to fans of wildlife documentaries, since it was the title of an episode of David Attenborough's Blue Planet series.
