Ron Carter Chevy proudly announces that their lineup of Chevrolet cars and trucks, which they sell in the greater Houston Texas metropolitan areas, won more 2010 Consumer Digest Best Buy Awards than any other automotive brand. Ron Carter Houston Chevrolet is proud of the recognition given to the Chevy brand by Consumer Digest.

The Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, Equinox, Malibu, Silverado, Tahoe, and Traverse all were awarded Consumer Digest's "Automotive Best Buy" winners. "It is a huge honor to be a part of the award-winning Chevrolet brand," says Michael Nimr, the Internet Manager at Ron Carter Houston Chevrolet. "These vehicles represent the quality and value of the Chevy brand."

In 2010, Consumer's Digest awarded their Best Buy Award to roughly 40 new car models sold in the North American consumer market. The criteria that Consumer's Digest uses are "based on a vehicle's purchase price and ownership costs relative to subjective factors like comfort, performance, styling and utility. By this measure, the least expensive cars are not necessarily Best Buys, nor are the best-performing and costliest models automatically given the nod." Since Chevrolet makes quality cars and trucks and sells them through their Houston auto dealers at reasonable prices, it's not a surprise that Chevy won more awards than other manufacturers.

Consumer's Digest design factor criteria include styling, interior ergonomics, seating, accessories and amenities, cargo space, as well as the fit and finish. Among the performance characteristics they consider are starting and acceleration, shifting/transmission, steering and handling, braking, ride quality, and fuel economy. Some additional variables that are considered include warranty options, repair histories (when available), dealer reputations, estimated repair/maintenance costs, annual operating expenses, insurance-industry ratings, crash-test results, corporate service and manufacturing reputations, and estimated resale values. The Ron Carter Houston Chevrolet dealership works hard to boost Chevy's scores in the auto dealer reputation and corporate service categories.

All of these award-winning Chevrolet cars and trucks are available at Ron Carter's Houston Chevy dealership. The Houston area car dealership staff can answer any questions about Chevrolet vehicles, including pricing and availability at their Texas Chevy dealership or on their car dealer website.

Consumers Digest was founded in 1960 and gives their Best Buy Awards to the products editors deem to have the best quality for the most reasonable price. The organization is trusted by many consumers, and the award helps many Houston buyers make important purchasing decisions.
