LateRooms.com highlights travellers with an interest in Greek mythology may want to drop into Seville's Archaeological Museum to see the Argonauts' Gold Treasures.

This collection of artefacts has been borrowed from the National Museum of Georgia and will be on display at the venue until June 20th.

It has been organised by the lending institution alongside the Dukes of Soria Foundation and could offer guests at hotels in Seville some insight into the journey of Jason and the Argonauts.

The items on show were found in an area called Vani, which is referred to as Colchis by the Ancient Greeks and is supposedly where Jason went in search of the golden fleece, according to the organisers of the exhibition.

"Treasures from Tartessus and Colchis can be seen alongside each other, demonstrating the proto-historic ties at the two far ends - east and west - of the world known to the Greeks," added the team behind the show.

Items on display include a gold ring with a seal carved in it, with many of the artefacts in the exhibition being recent finds, mostly gold, but with some bronze and silver as well.

Opening hours at the art space, which can be found at Plaza de América, are from 09:00 to 20:30 Tuesday to Saturday and 09:00 to 14:30 on Sundays and public holidays.

The museum is free to EU citizens with proof of nationality and costs €1.50 (£1.30) for everybody else.
