LateRooms.com reports scientific research is the central theme for the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF), which is held every two years and the 2010 edition will be housed in Turin's Lingotto Fiere.

All sorts of topics will be discussed during the event - which runs from July 2nd to 7th - such as music, geography, science and mathematics.

While the central forum is aimed at people in the industry to attend and stimulate debate at the forefront of each field, a separate festival entitled Science in the City is run alongside it to transfer themes to residents and guests at Turin hotels.

"ESOF 2010 will involve the entire city with the Science in the City programme, the meeting point between citizens and experts, between science, research and the city," explained the organisers.

Two of the main centres for these events will be Piazza Castello and Piazzza Carlo Alberto, where there will be interactive installations, games and lectures.

In addition to this, there are several other venues that will be hosting related occasions such as cafes, theatres and museums.

Many of these events are free to attend, but be sure to check availability before setting off to see them.

The full programme will be put up on the festival's website when it is confirmed.

For more information on this event visit the ESOP 2010 website or contact the organisers on +39 011 6702740.

If you're heading to the EuroScience Open Forum this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotel Torino as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
