Holiday Velvet predicts a rise in tourists to Poland

Holiday Velvet, a holiday rental agency with over 6,000 short-term rental properties in their portfolio, predicts a rise in tourism to Poland and have added short term rental properties in Warsaw and Krakow to their website.

Tourism to Poland is expected to rise in the coming years according to several indicators. The most important is that in 2012, Poland and Ukraine will host Euro 2012, the 14th European Football Championship, which is expected to generate a surge of visitors to both countries.

The event is also set to improve Poland's infrastructure, appeal to tourists and economic growth. PL.2012, a special purpose vehicle of the Polish Sport and Tourism Ministry, carried out a detailed report on the event. It predicted that 820,000 tourists will arrive in Poland during the tournament, and that it would speed up investments in the country's infrastructure, creating a good impression of the country that will lead to return visits.

In the short term Poland remains one of the cheapest countries in Europe to visit according to the July 2010 edition of Which?. Comparing twelve European cities including Paris, Berlin, Rome and Athens, this respected consumer magazine wrote that Poland is generally one of the cheapest places to visit and that is delivered the best–priced top end hotels and restaurants.

Taking the above into account, Holiday-Velvet.com, a short-term rental agency with over 6,000 short-term rental properties in their portfolio have now added Warsaw apartments and Krakow apartments to their cache. The agency suggests that fans should book early for Euro 2012, which will take place between 8 June and 1 July 2012.
