LateRooms.com - Visit Norfolk for Great Yarmouth's summer fireworks

July 14, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
LateRooms.com divulges a dramatic display of pyrotechnics is set to take place every Wednesday night in Great Yarmouth this summer.

Running each week from July 28th to September 1st, the summer fireworks evenings should attract many people staying in Norfolk hotels to the famous seaside resort.

Enjoying this colourful seafront spectacle could provide the perfect end to a day spent on Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile.

On each occasion, the evening will start off with music and other family entertainment from 20:00 BST at The Jetty on Marine Parade, with the fireworks due to begin two hours later.

Visitors are advised to try one of the resort's two piers - the Britannia and the Wellington - to find the best vantage spot among the crowds.

However, anywhere along the seafront esplanade should provide people with a good view of the display, which will illuminate the sky above Great Yarmouth's famous golden sands.

Originally built in 1853, Wellington Pier is one of the town's most popular entertainment venues. It offers visitors a casino area, amusement arcade and six family-friendly coin-operated bowling lanes.

The pier also houses Wellington Bowl, a separate ten-pin bowling area that opens until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
