pDCPD Molder Named Kansas Exporter of the Year

OSBORNE, KS – Custom plastics molder Osborne Industries Inc. has received the 2010 Exporter of the Year award from Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson.

The Kansas International Trade Coordinating Council selected Osborne out of five finalists, based on criteria such as:

- Increased employment due to global activities
- Global marketing innovations
- International introduction of new product lines
- Development of a network of global distributors and offices

The pDCPD molder began exporting equipment in 1979 and now sends product to 39 countries. Accounting for 24 percent of Osborne's sales, the company's exports have grown 73 percent since 2006.

The employee-owned company was founded in 1973 by a group of local businessmen looking to preserve their small community by creating a stable manufacturing environment. Osborne Industries now employs 90.
