sfTravel.com is sponsoring our 2nd annual San Francisco photo contest to showcase the beauty of San Francisco for visitors and locals. You can win up to $100 and share your photography with the world. Over 100 photographers competed in 2009 with Brett Whysel of New York taking the top prize.

Photographers can share the beauty of San Francisco, gain global exposure for their photography, and win up to a $100 cash prize in the 2nd annual photo contest from sfTravel. sfTravel is a leading destination travel site featuring independent reviews of San Francisco's coolest hotels, restaurants, and activities. Originally launched in 1996, sfTravel features a brutally honest style which calls the shots for the visitor activities that we love and hate.

Over one hundred photographers competed during 2009 to share their photography on the popular San Francisco website, with the top photos integrated into some of our most popular and provocative topics.

Past photos featured unusual topics including: sea lions at Pier 39, tall ships, cable cars, limousines, taxis, street cars, Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and many other topics to share the San Francisco experience. The 2009 Grand Prize winner - Brett Whysel of New York - took home a cash prize of $100 and featured his photography prominently on sfTravel.com to over one million annual visitors.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
Impact of visual and verbal expression conveying the essence of San Francisco (25%)
Overall quality of photograph (25%)
Creativity/originality (25%)
Use of people / models in photograph (25%)

For 2010, in addition to the $100 Grand Prize — three runners-up will win a $25 cash prize in addition to their photography being featured on the site. This contest is limited to U.S. residents.
