LateRooms.com can reveal that athletes in the Czech Republic will be counting down the days until this year's Tesco Grand Prix, which offers the chance to run through the streets of Prague at night.

Described by the organisers as "an unforgettable experience", the event attracts runners of all ages and abilities to Prague hotels each year.

The Tesco Grand Prix is made up of several different competitions, such as the Metro Men's Race, Adidas Women's Race Tesco Run for Life and the Embassy Race.

This year's event takes place on Saturday September 11th and is expected to be just as popular as ever, with many people taking part to raise money for charity.

One of the more unusual contests is the Hilton Cloud 9 Barmen Race, in which competitors must negotiate obstacles while carrying a tray full of glasses.

As well as the running, participants can look forward to live music, dancing and other entertainment in the city's Old Town Square.

From September 9th to 11th, the Grand Prix Expo tent will be set up in Prague city centre, allowing runners to register, pick up their race materials and purchase official merchandise.

Registration for most of the races costs between €75 and €100 (£62 and £83).
