LateRooms.com reports there is a real treat in store for ballet enthusiasts this summer, as Stephen Barlow's Rainbow Bear will be interpreted by the National Youth Ballet, with narration by Joanna Lumley.

The former Absolutely Fabulous actress is a patron of the arts group and will offer her vocal talents to this production, which will be held at the London Palladium on September 5th at 19:30 BST.

Guests at London hotels may find themselves charmed by the family-friendly story of Snow Bear, a polar bear that sees a rainbow and decides he wants to change into the titular type of animal.

However, his decision to change his fur colour lead to all sorts of adventures, ending with the character deciding that he was happy with being a polar bear.

Writer Stephen Barlow said: "The company's passion, imagination and enthusiasm will undoubtedly draw youthful magic from the music, enriching a powerful and topical story with their legendary energy and conviction."

He added that he is thrilled the National Youth Ballet will be performing the story.

Tickets are available online from £18.

There are plenty of other great productions taking place at the arts space this summer, with Whoopi Goldberg set to star in Sister Act there.
