Cool As Ever Tech Brings 'Microlistings' Startup Anttenna to Tech Savvy at the Del Mar Racetrack

On Saturday, August 14, the Del Mar racetrack will be hosting the 2nd annual Cool As Ever Tech, an interactive event for Southern California's web and tech scene. This year, Cool as Ever Tech (www.coolasevertech.com) has partnered with San Diego-based Anttenna (www.anttenna.com) to help promote using their breakthrough application. Launched as an iPhone application, Anttenna delivers a real-time, location-aware and mobile consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer microlistings marketplace for the buying, selling, and bartering of goods and services. This means users can search through classified listings on their mobile device based on location, time relevance or a number of categories – such as tickets, events, and many more.

For one of the largest Twitter events in Southern California, the partnership makes perfect sense. Anttenna is a free application built off the ease and familiarity of the Twitter platform. Using the inherent location-based technology in mobile phones, Anttenna enables instantaneous, location-aware listings and exchanges consistent with the "tweet" communication format. So consistent in fact, that the in-app chat feature has affectionately been dubbed "anttweeting".

At Cool As Ever Tech, Anttenna's booth will be headquarters for a number of promotions throughout the event. Contests and raffles will be hosted through the application and winners announced throughout the day. Furthermore, a team will be in place to answer questions about the application and will be holding live demos. In attendance will be Anttuan, Anttenna's beloved 6-foot tall mascot, who cannot be missed. Stop by the photo booth to get your picture taken with a local celebrity.
