Gatwick meet and greet parking company; Help me park have once again managed to meet the high standards set by the Safer Parking Scheme and claim the Parkmark® award for a second year after claiming their first only a year after the opening of their London Gatwick car park in 2008. A well deserved achievement considering their impressive zero crime record in the Help Me Park facility over the last 12 months.

The Parkmark® award controlled by the Safer Parking Scheme has been an initiative put forward by the Association of Chief Police Officers to help crack down on crime in car parks by offering reassurance to the customer that their car will be parked in a safe and secure car park.

To obtain a Parkmark® award from The Safer Parking Scheme parking facilities are subject to an inspection by the Police who asses the measures taken to protect the facility. These requirements state that the parking operator has measures implemented that deter criminal activity and anti social behaviour, thereby doing everything reasonable to reduce crime and fear of crime in their parking facility.

Mike Bibby (Development Manager – S. East) said "I am very pleased to have been part of working with Mr. McCarthy and the police accredited assessors John Lee and Mike Bessent from Surrey Police resulting in this operation meeting the high standards required to meet Safer Parking accreditation. With no crime recorded over the past twelve months, this creates a safe and non-threatening environment and customers can feel confident in the knowledge their vehicles will be well cared for".

Help me park are continually dedicated to keeping their security systems up to date. This year alone there have been many improvements to their security, including; updated CCTV systems, security lighting, boundary security and even the personnel side of the company with changes to management practices, staff training and security procedures.

Sean McCarthy (Operations Director) said "As a premium provider of meet and greet parking services at London Gatwick Airport it is paramount that we offer and are seen to offer a trusted and reliable service to our clients. Having worked closely with the Police and the Safer Parking Scheme to achieve the standards required I would recommend every customer looking for airport parking to check that the car park they use has the Parkmark® accreditation for their peace of mind. There have been too many recent incidences of rogue meet and greet companies parking in supermarket car parks, local roads and industrial estates."

Help Me Park are also now working alongside the Hilton hotel to offer Valet Park & Stay Packages allowing customers to stay overnight before or after their flights, while enjoying the convenience of Gatwick valet parking at the same time.
