Christmas parties in 2010 are going to be a cracker

During the financial crisis of the past two years one of the many things to suffer has been Christmas parties as organisations large and small decide they can't afford the celebration, or can't be seen spending lavish amounts on a party while elsewhere jobs are being lost and wages cut.

However, while the financial landscape remains uncertain there is hope that 2010 is going to be a bumper year for Christmas parties.

Eventa.co.uk, who specialise in organising corporate Christmas parties, are in optimistic mood following a mad rush of enquiries for party packages from their website despite the festive season still being four months away.

Rob Hill, director of Eventa.co.uk, said: "Everybody wants a Christmas party but in recent years they have unfortunately been sacrificed due to austerity measures, but the purse strings seem to be loosening.

"We've been astonished at how much interest there has been in Xmas parties even before Christmas is really on the agenda, so we have been adding more packages to keep up with the demand.

"London Christmas parties are the most sought after and we are now offering well over 100 different parties, including shared and exclusive packages, so there really is something for all organisations."

As well as enquiries the number of visitors to their website has been rocketing from week to week showing the vast number of people who are already actively planning their Christmas party night when we are normally thinking solely of sandy beaches and summer sun.

The total of enquires for parties so far this month is up an astonishing 450 per cent on last year's figures, which is partly due to the organisation's positive reputation based on their performances in 2009, but also due to an increase in demand for a fantastic party night to top off a year of hard work.
