National Bank of Dominica Executive Elected Vice President of Dominica Employers' Federation

National Bank of Dominica Executive Manager Human Resource & Organizational Development, Verieux Mourillon was elected Dominica Employers' Federation Vice President at the first meeting of DEF's Board for the new financial year held on Wednesday 25 August 2010.

The National Bank of Dominica Limited continues to actively support the Dominica Employers' Federation in its efforts to maintain a stable and harmonious industrial relations climate in Dominica. DEF provides education and training opportunities for the employees of its member companies as well as advice and technical assistance to management in matters relating to conflict, disputes and negotiations of salaries and benefits. The Dominica Employers' Federation also seeks to model good governance practices for its members.

National Bank's representative in DEF, Mr Verieux Mourillon, served as a Trustee on the Committee of Management in 2009/2010 and also as Chairman of DEF's Education & Training Committee. Mr Mourillon will represent the Dominica Employers' Federation at a program on "Implementing Labour Standards through Corporate Social Responsibility" being held at ILO's International Training Centre in Turin, Italy from 30 August to 3 September 2010. It is expected that on his return the new DEF Vice President will pass on the insights gained from the ILO program to corporate managers among the organization's members as part of DEF's continuing education thrust.
