Ventis Group Experts to Present Technology Commercialization Seminar at Los Angeles Technology Center

Westlake Village, CA, August 21, 2003 — Ventis Group principals Juan Vidaurrazaga and Mark Stohlman will be the featured speakers on Tuesday, September 23, 2003, in a seminar sponsored by the Business Technology Center in Altadena, California. The Center operates under the auspices of the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission.

The seminar will focus on how technology companies can cost-effectively commercialize their existing intellectual property, generating new revenue with very little resource investment and without adverse impact on their primary business and target markets. Attendees will learn how to identify licensing and other opportunities, develop new cash streams, and maximize the return on investment in innovation. The presentation will emphasize practical aspects of the commercialization process, including essential marketing techniques, and will spotlight examples from the Ventis Group's work with Rockwell Science Center.

Juan Vidaurrazaga is a seasoned business executive with extensive strategic planning, international marketing, professional services and engineering experience at the senior management and executive levels, serving at General Electric, Genicom, Dataproducts Corporation and Hitachi. His experience also includes P&L responsibility as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the highly successful Customer Service and Ink Jet Technology Divisions of Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions (now Hitachi Printing Solutions). Juan holds masters degrees in Business Administration and Computer Engineering from James Madison and Cornell Universities.

Mark Stohlman is an experienced intellectual property management, transfer and licensing executive with international business and strategic alliances experience. He has served in key management and senior management roles at Automation Associates, the Accutel Division of General Signal Corporation, Dataproducts Corporation and Hitachi. Mark holds a masters degree in Public Administration and a doctorate in Law from the University of Southern California.
