The Australian International Motor Show (AIMS) is revving its engine in preparation for its appearance at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Running between October 15th and 24th 2010 at the Darling Harbour venue, the occasion is recognised as the showcase event for Australia's automotive industry.

Numerous national and overseas manufacturers are chomping at the bit to unleash their latest creations on the public and media at the event.

Among the star attractions will be the new internationally acclaimed Hulme CanAm supercar, a two-seater with a seven-litre V8 engine that has been hand-built in New Zealand.

Walkinshaw Performance will also use the show to give last minute accommodation Sydney customers and other visitors a chance to see a new limited-edition vehicle with a unique set of enhancements.

Only 23 of the Walkinshaw Performance Supercar Mk2s will ever be built.

Leading names from the automotive world, including the likes of Audi, Ford, Honda, Holden and Mercedes-Benz, are also set to appear at the expo.

With so much to see at AIMS, anyone who is keen to attend would be wise to snap up tickets as soon as possible. These cost A$20 for adults, A$15 for concessions and A$10 for under-16s.

Family passes can be purchased for A$45 and under-fives get in free.
