October 02, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Herndon, VA — gomembers made its newest release of Q™, version 1.5, available on September 1, 2005. Q™, gomembers’ newest Association Management System (AMS) utilizing Microsoft’s .NET technology, was initially released in March of 2004. Q™ will bring organizations into the 21st century, with full features that provide complete back office, front office and e-commerce processing in one integrated solution. Several of gomembers’ customers have migrated to Q™ and new clients are being won over by the scalability and ease of use. Many customers are taking advantage of the GO2Q program to upgrade from their association+, az*ware, dmg4, and pinnacle systems.

Consistent with the gomembers philosophy of continual improvements and response to customer requests, Q™ version 1.5 release is one of many planned to enhance the product. Its intuitive and user definable user interface and the role-base functionality make Q™ easy to learn and use. gomembers’ President and CEO, Paul Plaia III, detailed the new release by noting that Q™ enhances productivity through its use of .NET technology and the system’s intuitive interface, providing a simple means for even non-technical users to customize its use for their individual needs.

The update adds new functionality and also makes improvements in key areas, including: Membership Management; immediate real-time Address Verification; simple broadcast email; and, the User Interface Builder. Architectural enhancements have been added to provide performance improvements throughout Q™. All the changes are designed to keep Q™ at the forefront of AMS systems utilizing the versatility of .NET.

Some of the highlights include the addition of a new Broadcast email system with an easy-to-use template, HTML editor, and more. Q’s Membership module’s setup programs were updated to improve workflow setup. Address verification was given greater efficiency by replacing CD updates with a hosted web service. Additional functionality was given by providing a single click to export data to Microsoft Excel from inside of Q™.
One of the unique aspects of Q™ is the Q User Interface Builder (QUIB™). It includes an editor that allows for user definable Home Pages, menus, and screens. QUIB™ allows the user to arrange pages in a format that best suits their specific individual and department needs.

In this latest version, Q users are presented with an option to display Search Results of a variable horizontal size. The Metadata Object maintenance program has added options such as Key Definitions, and Role-Based Security Settings. The Metadata Relationships maintenance program incorporates both pre- and post-processing definitions.

Q™ version 1.5 is will be shown at gomembers’ Regional User Groups Seminars on September 28th in Indianapolis, Indiana and October 13th in Toronto, Canada. The release will also be showcased at the National AMS Users’ Group’s Annual Conference held November 9 – 11 in Washington, D.C. More information on the conference can be found at www.naug.net.
