Classified advertisements have long been an avenue for the barter and trade of goods and services. The Internet has promoted this by encouraging the growth of classified advertisement websites.

This has led to a substantial amount of traffic to these sites. However, one big drawback has been the unnecessarily complicated advertisement posting process, and the need to register prior to posting or viewing advertisements.

ShoutWall.com, a new website established in October 2005, has done away with the need for registrations. The posting process has also been greatly simplified to make posting fast and easy.

The site has achieved 1 million hits within 4 weeks of its launch, and has garnered the attention of several large sponsors, including several global web hosting companies.

According to Bernie Chow, a third-year Engineering student at the University of Melbourne who made a post in ShoutWall.com, "I've been online since I was around 10, and I consider myself web-savvy. I like shopping online, and one of my favourite hobbies is to sell off my unwanted stuff. I use the cash that I get to buy myself what I want. ShoutWall.com is unique because I don't need to register, and posting is so painless. Plus, I can reach a global audience too!"
