Funding seed capital in Washington has never been easier. A localized website is providing Washington entrepreneurs a $5.4M alternative to venture capital.

FundingWashington.com is an online meeting place where Washington entrepreneurs looking for start-up capital may submit their business plans to Washington angel investors. Entrepreneurs register on the site and upload their business plan at no cost. Angel investors may create a free account and search through hundreds of business plans. At no point are the investors or entrepreneurs charged for any services provided by FundingWashington.com.

“Most people think of Washington as a state dominated by mega corporations like Microsoft or Amazon, but there are still plenty of young companies that represent great investment opportunities for Washington angel investors,” said FundingWashington.com founder Paul B. Allen. “Washington’s history of innovation makes it a fantastic place to start a company. We expect exponential increase in available funds.”

More than 50 entrepreneurs have registered on FundingWashington.com, and sixteen have posted their business plans. Washington angel investors are sent a weekly email update informing them of new business proposals on the site.

FundingWashington.com is a member of the FundingUniverse.com family of sites.
