BELMONT, NC —- Belmont Abbey College will host its fall Abbey Experience on October 15, 2005, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM in the Haid Theatre at Belmont Abbey College.

Abbey Experience provides students from across the country the unique opportunity to visit the Catholic, liberal arts College and meet with a wide array of individuals who are dedicated to enriching the experiences of the Abbey’s student body. The “open house” sessions allow students and their families a chance to sit in on classes, meet with students and professors, ask questions about admission requirements and financial aid, and have one-on-one sessions with the Abbey’s President, Dr. William Thierfelder and its academic dean, Dr. Dean de la Motte.

“A campus visit is the number one way to determine whether a student will develop a connection with a particular college or university,” says Michelle Lynch, director of Admissions at Belmont Abbey College. “What makes a student’s visit to the Abbey so special is the fact that our Abbey Experience gives them a unique and detailed picture of what Belmont Abbey College is all about. So many of our campus community become personally involved in spending time with these students and their families, they basically find themselves being introduced to our Abbey Family,” says Lynch.

Abbey Experience also gives families a chance to learn more about the College’s Benedictine heritage and meet members of the monastic community, including Abbot Placid Solari, O.S.B.

The College hosts Abbey Experience both in the fall and spring semesters.
