DirectRooms – Busan hosts its first Christmas festival

The 1st Busan Christmas Festival will be taking place at the Yeongdo Kosin and Gwangbokno universities and many of the activities will be set up along Gwangbok-dong Street.

Along the road will be a colourful trail of decorations and Christmas trees adorning both side of the street and lighting the way for pedestrians as they walk among the many shops. A total distance of 500m will be lit up with the decorations and visitors to the city can view the 20 different scenes which will be represented along the way.

Themes include the journey of the three wise men, the birth of Christ in Bethlehem and Santa Claus and his helpers. The park in the area will also feature a digital tree that will glow and sparkle through the night and a number of caroling singing events and concerts are set to take place on the street.

The festival will run for a total of 34 days from 1st December 2010 to 3rd January 2011 and visitors staying in a hotel Busan can go and watch many other free Christmas activities that will be taking place across the city.
