AllTrust Networks' Check Database Now Available via Web Browser, New "Check Research" Service Provides Alternative to Bank Verification

November 17, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
AllTrust Networks launched its "Check Research" web service today, which protects retailers from check cashing losses by bringing together data from AllTrust's proprietary network and traditional bank verification sources.

The web service requires only a PC with internet access and is available to retailers on a subscription basis. The service also offers the option to use a check reader, which makes the transactions faster, more accurate and more secure.

Merchants use the service by keying or scanning information from the check into their browser. The service identifies potential fraud by delivering the number of accepted and returned checks, the percentage return rate, and company names associated with that account from AllTrust's network. In addition, merchants can validate the name of the bank on the check and receive contact information for that bank.

"We are really excited about this new service" says AllTrust CEO Jon Dorsey. "The web-based Check Research tool is a powerful step in our platform's evolution, and the data far surpasses what legacy check services offer."

AllTrust also offers its Check Research through an API for users who want to incorporate the service into their own financial service applications.

AllTrust's proprietary data comes from its network of 2,000 retailers running AllTrust's Paycheck Secure® software, the leading PC-based biometric check cashing management service.
