Rifts RPG coming to the Nokia N-Gage and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

(PRLEAP.COM) Nokia will be releasing Rifts: Promise of Power for their N-Gage game platform on October 24. The beta of this game won two awards at last May’s E3 and Nokia has built a web site dedicated to the game http://www.rifts-promiseofpower.com
In a recent announcement on his web site, jbfilms.com, Jerry Bruckheimer wrote that David Franzoni (Gladiator, King Arthur) is working on the script for a live-action Rifts movie, and that he didn’t want to disappoint fans of the Rifts game.
Rifts is the story of a post-apocalyptic Earth where magic has returned as visible lines of energy called Rifts - tears in the fabric of space and time. This role-playing game series consists of over 40 books that cover a transformed Earth and all the strange beings that now inhabit it.
Taylor, Michigan based publisher, Palladium Books, has been publishing game books for 24 years. Company President, Kevin Siembieda, is also its chief writer and art director. The multi-talented Siembieda wrote and illustrated most of the company’s early books and has a large fan following in the U.S. and abroad.
Palladium Books role-playing games are now being offered to the book trade by specialty distributor PSI based in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Now that the company is gong mass market, Siembieda is looking for other licensing opportunities.
