BPI group U.S. Partners with JVS Chicago: Cause-Related Goal is to Help 100 Women Find Jobs

CHICAGO, December 7, 2010 - The U.S. offices of BPI group, a worldwide leader in management consulting and human resources (bpigroupus.com), is joining forces with JVS Chicago in a cause-related initiative to help 100 local women find jobs free of charge. Announcement of the "Giving Back" program was made last night at the W Chicago – City Center.

JVS (jvschicago.com) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, social service agency that offers career counseling and job placement services.

"The 'Giving Back' initiative underscores BPI group's global commitment to help the communities we serve," said Juan Luis Goujon, president and chief executive officer of BPI group, North America. "We recognize that women, who can lift families out of poverty and enrich communities, are facing difficult challenges in our struggling economy. With JVS, we can help them establish a new beginning by finding employment."

Because JVS has close ties to local communities, the nonprofit will identify the candidates who will participate in the program. Team members from BPI group will develop a personalized job placement plan for each individual, and will provide career coaching services until each individual is successfully placed in a new job.

"Our team will be able to help these women with resume development, interview coaching, mentoring, career exploration, and how to use social media effectively to expand their network," said Patricia Siderius, managing director, Career Transition Practice, North America. "We will also provide advanced training to JVS career counselors."

"There are many women locally who have been out of the workforce for an extended period of time and finding employment for them has been extremely challenging," said Gail Luxenberg Gruen, executive vice president of JVS Chicago. "This cause-related partnership with BPI group can help elevate awareness about women and unemployment, as well as accelerate their job prospects."
