(Overland Park, KS) Citing a commitment to helping military personnel transitioning from the service into civilian jobs, USBA (Uniformed Services Benefit Association) today announced the addition of a free online Military Jobs Center available on their website: www.usba.com.

"The service is open to both USBA members and all veterans," explains USBA's President/CEO Colonel Jerry V. Patton, USAF (Ret.). "It provides an opportunity for military personnel – about to leave the service as well as those already in the civilian workforce – to post their resume and search job openings available at military-friendly companies."

USBA is a non-profit organization offering insurance and financial products to active duty as well as retired and former military families. The association, established over 50 years ago, currently insures over 180,000 lives and is considered to be one of the largest military groups offering "no war clause" insurance plans.
"We believe offering this free job service site is an important way for USBA to show support for all veterans," says Patton. "In addition to job postings, the site offers transitioning checklists, resume and interview assistance."

The site is powered through a relationship with Orion International, the nation's largest military career placement firm. Orion specializes in finding civilian careers for officers and enlisted service personnel leaving the service, as well as veterans who have already transitioned but are seeking a career change.

Job seekers can visit www.usba.com/militaryjobs to search job listings by industry and submit their resume. "The listings are posted by companies that recognize the unique value of having former military experience and work ethic on their team," says Patton.

Headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, USBA is a non-profit organization providing a variety of low-cost group life insurance plans and other financial services to the Active Duty and Retired Military market as well as Honorably Discharged Veterans, National Guard, Reserves and Federal civilian employees.
