Katrina Campus Relief Receives Large Donation From Nike

PRLEAP.COM) Hollywood, CA October 17,2005 – Katrina Campus Relief Founder and Celebrity Stylist, Michael Holdaway, announced today Nike donated over 100 book bags filled with school supplies, Nike socks, visors and tennis shoes for distribution by Katrina Campus Relief to ninety-one displaced Katrina college students attending UCLA. Katrina Campus Relief volunteer stylists will provide students with four new outfits based on each student’s personal preferences, personal care items, the Nike book bags, haircuts and make-up styling during a special time of self esteem building and beauty on October 23 & 24, 2005 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Location to be announced.
"Nike’s donation supports our efforts to give all displaced Hurricane Katrina college students the opportunity to have a fresh start," says Michael Holdaway. ”Nike’s generosity, and the generosity of all our sponsors, helps us provide students with the necessities required to rebuild self-esteem and educational focus. We are still open to donations of make-up, toiletries, and new clothes to help us accomplish our goal.”
Katrina Campus Relief was founded by Michael Holdaway and is co chaired by Lisa Amoore, Lynda Stenge, and Jewely Bennette. Others in the entertainment and fashion industries have volunteered too.
