Be it in the realm of haute couture or haute cuisine, many people consider France to be the epicentre when it comes to both style and gourmet food, which is why Britannia Living have turned to their French neighbours for inspiration in the launch of their new range cooker – Fournelle.

This latest innovation combines French style with the ability to cook food to the highest professional standard – a winning combination that would take pride of place in any top chef's home. Available in four models, ranging from 100cm up to a magnificent 150cm, the Fournelle captures the very essence of the Provence countryside and the robust design and solid doors make this cooker a joy to use.

The four models boast impressive levels of specification, including stay clean liners at the sides, roof and back of the ovens. All Fournelle ovens also feature Conventional Cooking which provides the same cooking style as gas, a fast pre-heat system for speedy cooking, and offer uncompromising flexibility, with nine functions in the 90cm and 60cm ovens, while the 40cm ovens have four functions plus a rotisserie.

When it comes to cooking on the hob, the Fournelle includes a range of special features to choose from: La Plancha is a high quality solid stainless steel hotplate that cooks anything from entrecôte to salmon or vegetables; Le Coup de Feu is a large cooking area made from cast iron which provides the perfect way to simmer a bouillabaisse or to keep food warm; and La Friteuse Électrique is a thermostatically controlled deep fat fryer which makes perfect 'frites', battered fish or deep fried vegetables. There is also a six-zone induction hob option available on the 100cm Carelle and Fronsac models; offering a highly energy efficient, all-electric cooker which retains the controllability of a gas hob.

Henneke Duistermaat, Sales & Marketing Director comments: "At Britannia Living we're as passionate about cookers as our customers are about cooking and this is reflected in all of our products.

"We have developed the Fournelle based on research which identified a gap in the market for a cooker that combines French styling with the quality and functionality to satisfy even the most demanding of cooking enthusiasts. We're extremely proud of the results and are confident that it will bring 'joie de la cuisine' to any home."

The Fournelle is available in six colour options: stainless steel, cream, burgundy, blue, green and matt black. Prices for the 100cm Carelle start from around £3,599. The Latour hood – a minimalist pyramid design – is available in matching sizes and colours, priced from £999; with a stainless steel canopy hood also available in matching sizes priced from £899.
