Applied Knowledge Group, Inc. Participates in Lee National Denim Day

Initiated 10 years ago to provide support to the nation’s premier breast cancer research foundation, Lee National Denim Day allows employees of participating companies to wear denim to work on the designated Friday during October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) provided they make a $5 contribution to the Komen Foundation.

“We are a small company, and we knew that our total monetary donation would not be large,” noted Katie Foroughi, Vice-President of Operations and Human Resources, “so we decided instead to create a participation goal to encourage our employees to support this important cause. We are very happy so many of our employees have given their support.” Foroughi also commented “Coming on the heels of the contributions made to support the hurricane victims, it’s heartening to see people still manage to give to other worthy causes.”
