EAST LANSING, Mich. – In an era where everyone is constantly on the go, Michigan State University (MSU) offers professionals the chance to earn their degree with the Weekend MBA Program while continuing to work at their current jobs.

Ranked number 83 overall by the Financial Times, the Broad part time MBA program provides participants the competitive edge needed to advance their careers as well as sharpen their business skills. The program is compressed into 19 months, with classes held every other Saturday as well as some Friday evenings. Participants can also take advantage of the program's MBA Career Services Center, ranked among the top four career services in the world by Financial Times.

The program focuses on a teamwork approach, setting up collaborative teams from diverse backgrounds to work together for the entirety of the program. This approach is based on the idea that anyone who wants to get ahead in the business world must be able to successfully communicate and exchange ideas with colleagues and employers. Not only does this lead to successful leadership skills, it also builds a strong network of professional connections.

"The teamwork concept parallels everyday work life for developing leaders, so I believe the concept is fundamental to any strong MBA program," said Andy Rowles, graduating class of 2006 and Manager at the Kellogg Company. "I believe there is no substitute for regular face-to-face interaction with other students in the Weekend MBA to discuss opinions, points of view, and approaches to our studies."

The Weekend MBA Program employs a challenging curriculum based on several core business competencies including strategy, management, marketing, finance, supply chain management and more. By utilizing technology, the 45-credit-hour program gets the most out of in-class time and consists of four compressed four-hour classes. The program is designed to hone business skills and provide real world application and insights that advance careers and provide a competitive advantage in the world of business.

Classes are taught at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development on the campus of MSU and the MSU Management Education Center in Troy. The MSU Weekend MBA program is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
