Hello Baby Launches Second iPhone App - The Baby Namer

(St Albans, UK) Online nursery retailer Hello Baby (www.HelloBabyDirect.co.uk) has launched a second app for iPhone - the Baby Namer. Containing over 10000 names with their origins, the Baby Namer helps new parents navigate through the minefield of choosing a name for their baby and is free to download.

"Our first iPhone app, the Peek-a-Boo Rattle has had over 20000 downloads and been a huge success" said, Trevor Ginn, managing director of Hello Baby. "For our second iPhone app we wanted to do something which was going to be of use to parents. We believe we have created a really user friendly app, which not only looks great, but is crammed full with all kinds of names."

The app has three main functions. If you are feeling lucky, the shake feature allows random names to be generated by shaking the phone. More methodical users can browser names based on a sex, beginning or letter selection. Finally, the 1000 US and UK girls and boys names can be viewed by popularity.

"At Hello Baby we love to innovate with cutting edge technology and we are very excited by our new app" said Trevor. "Early feedback has been great. The application has had over a thousand downloads in the first three weeks.
