Award winning choreographer and notorious judge on the panel of Strictly Come Dancing, Craig Revel Horwood, has said that he wants royal contestants to appear on the new series of the show.

Known for his uncompromisingly direct views when judging contestants, Mr Revel Horwood has announced he would particularly love to see Prince William and Prince Harry dance on the new series of the BBC One Strictly Come Dancing which will be aired later this year.

This he has suggested would be an excellent idea as Prince William will have brushed up on his suave moves in preparation for his much anticipated wedding to Kate Middleton on April 29.

Craig Revel Horwood commented: "I'd like to see royalty on the show, like Wills or Harry. I think they would be absolutely fabulous… William must have a million waltzes up his sleeve now."

Joined on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel by Alesha Dixon, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood also added that the pressure is now on for Prince William's first dance at the wedding reception because the British public have become so accustomed to watching celebrities dance on 'Strictly'.

He gave a further comment to the Daily Star newspaper recently by saying,: "I bet he's freaking out about his first dance, and because of 'Strictly', people know what's good and bad now…They will be expecting something fantastic for Kate and Will's first dance."

Mr Revel Horwood has already had the chance to whisk the Duchess of Cornwall around the dance floor two years ago at an event promoting the National Osteoporosis Society charity, of which they are both patrons. He has said about their friendship that "We see each other about five times a year. We have a good old chin-wag."

In addition, he has also reported having visited with the first-in-line Royals, saying, "I once went over to Camilla and Charles's house for dinner and a lovely glass of red. I enjoyed that enormously."

Unfortunately this has not been enough to secure Mr Revel Horwood an invitation to the Royal wedding. He commented recently: "I would love to go but I've not had an invitation… I did try to work my way in to teach them their first dance… It looks like I'll be watching the wedding on television and toasting them all with champagne."

Apart from his Strictly duties, Craig Revel Horwood is currently working as director for the UK tour of Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show, a colourful and musically rich showcase of the famously flamboyant live performances of Neil Diamond.
